Uriel Cruz is an interdisciplinary artist that specializes in mixed media animation, which they write, direct, edit, and animate. They received their BFA in Animation with a concentration in Film & Video at the Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2022. While studying at MICA, Uriel presented their work in various school exhibitions like the 2022 MICA Art Walk as well as the 2020 and 2022 MICA Animation Festival. In addition to working on their own films, they have various credits in alumni work like Christina Fidler's thesis film 'Condolences from a Vulgar Tongue (or Boner)' (2020) and Toffee Matech's thesis film 'Milo Breaks Up (with his Girlfriend)' (2021). Uriel has now entered the film festival circuit with their own thesis film 'You Should See Other People' (2022) while they look for visdev/character design work.
