Uriel Cruz is an interdisciplinary artist that specializes in mixed media animation, which they write, direct, edit, and animate. They received their BFA in Animation with a concentration in Film & Video at the Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2022. Uriel has presented their work in various exhibitions like Animation Block Party Festival ('23), Sweaty Eyeballs Animation Festival ('22), as well as the MICA Animation Festival ('20, '22). In addition to working on their own films, they have various animation credits in alumni work like Christina Fidler's thesis film 'Condolences from a Vulgar Tongue (or Boner)' (2020). Uriel now works as a caricature artist in the Los Angeles area while they look for character/prop design work.
